I say, hot enough for ya? How is everyone’s allergy battles this summer? Norman has definitely been struggling the past few weeks. We’ve been doing a lot of baths and he’s had to wear his cone most days. He’s also been battling more bacteria infections on his back. We’ve been using the shampoo for seborrhea a couple times a week. You can see in the pictures below the dry and flaky skin in his fur, and the redness on his skin. The areas are very sensitive. He can hardly stand to be touched there.
The vet put him back on the Simplicef for the infection. I’ll post some “after” pics once he’s been on it a few weeks. She also mentioned to us again about trying an elimination trial diet. This time with Ultamino. Has anyone done this? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
How is he doing?
He’s doing better right now. He needed some antibiotics and medicated wipes for his tail too. It seems to have helped for now!
Have a Cairn Terrier with horrible environmental allergies. He tested allergic to almost very thing and has been on allergy drops since April 2017 but he is havinf a really bad time this summer. It is so frustrating ! He takes apoquel but I am considering Cytopoint shot. Good luck to you and your baby.
Cytopoint is great. We gave Stella a shot every 2 months and it is working well!
I would give it a try if you haven’t already. Most dogs seem to have pretty good luck with it.
