Below is a list of products for itchy dogs that we use (or have used in the past) that will help aide your pup in the ongoing battle against dog allergies. Remember, treatment can take time, so patience is important. These are not “cure-all” solutions, but they will most definitely help.

If you have a dog with allergies, you have to keep their paws and belly clean. After they have been outside in the grass, use hypoallergenic wipes to get rid of any potential itch causing allergens. Seriously, of all the available products for itchy dogs, this one is a must!
It’s important to keep your pup clean to help combat skin irritants, but baths can dry out their skin so you need to moisturize them as well. Use a shampoo and conditioner combo that will help curtail the itch but won’t leave their skin dry. It also has a nice smell and leaves their coat feeling super soft.

Zymox makes a couple of topical products that are great for hot spots and other skin irritations. The cream tends to stay on a little longer, but it never hurts to have a cortisone spray handy.
Who doesn’t love a dog in a T-shirt! This is one of the best products for itchy dogs. It has saved our carpet (and our wallet) so many times. He has a puppy polo in red and blue. At some point, a cone is a must. I know I said this about the wipes, but you MUST have a cone for those most difficult times. We like the Comfy Cone because it allows for some flexibility. Your dog can still run around, jump up on the couch or bed, and lay down comfortably. We’ve tried a few other cones, but this is our favorite. If you’re concerned with limiting their vision, you could also try an inflatable dog collar like the Kong Cloud E-Collar.
This is the ultimate product in the fight against dog allergies. Actually, this one isn’t a product for the dog. In fact, they will likely hate it. It makes a loud noise when you turn it on. But if you have an itchy dog that rubs their face or tail so much that it bleeds on to the carpet, then you need this. Seriously, you should buy it right now. You can thank me later. It’s a carpet saver! We’ve had to use this one quite a bit.
